B-070  Beryl variety Aquamarine  $340

Shengus, Northern Areas, Pakistan

6.7 x 1.4 x 1 cm.

Aquamarines from pakistan are quite common.  However this gemmy specimen features something that I have not seen before, a deep blue cap, making this something other than your run of the mill Pakistani Aquamarine.

B-084  Beryl variety Aquamarine  $400

Shengus, Baltistan, Pakistan

7.4 x 1.7 x 1.2 cm.

A most unusual Aquamarine crystal from the foothills of the Himalayan Mountains.  This very interesting & gemmy Aquamarine broke and then re-healed off-center.  The top termination of this very unusual Beryl crystal features several small crystals attached to it.

B-066  Beryl variety Aquamarine  $190

Otala, Kunar Province, Afghanistan

3.8 x 2.5 x 1.7 cm.

This specimen intrigued me when I first saw it.  In addition to it's cone shaped termination, this crystal shows signs of etching.  The photos do not do this specimen justice, it looks better in person.

B-048  Beryl  $220  SOLD
Double Terminated

Karur, Tamilnadu, Southern India

5.4 x 3.4 x 2.3 cm.

This slightly etched Beryl is a real rarity in a market flooded with Pakistani, Afghani & Brazilian Aqua's. This crystal is from a small pocket collected in 1995 and until 2002 had been stashed away by KC Pandey, owner of Superb Minerals India. I was lucky enough to acquire this at the 2002 Tucson Show. this crystal has one slightly frosted face & a small channel running down one side that after much examination I was able to determine that this was due to etching rather than any damage.

B-061  Beryl variety Aquamarine with Muscovite  $160

Nagar, Pakistan

11.5 x 7.8 x 5 cm.

A great Aqua-Mica combo for the price.  This specimen is priced to sell.  There is no damage to the specimen & the Aquamarine crystals are more blue than they appear in the photo.

Aquamarine
Sao Jose Safira,
Minas Gerais, Brazil

The rest of this page consists of Aquamarines from Sao Jose Safira, Minas Gerais, Brazil. These crystals were purchased at the 2003 Tucson show. I bought the whole pocket which consisted of 33 crystals. I won't be long winded in the descriptions. All the crystals are etched to some degree, varying in color from blue to blue-green. I tried my best to make the photos match the actual color of the specimens. Some are gemmy & some are translucent, but they're all pretty cool in my opinion.

Enjoy
