T-120  Tourmaline variety Elbaite  $500
(double terminated)

Darre Pech, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan

6.1 x 3.2 x 2.7 cm

A fine example of bi-colored Tourmaline from Afghanistan.  Every time I think that I've seen it all concerning Tourmaline from Afghanistan, I am surprised by something new.  I'm not sure if this is a really dark Indicolite like the others I had acquired from this find or just an Elbaite.  This one has a greenish-blue cap, while the others were more blue than green.  This find was made during the summer of 2006.

(double terminated)

Darre Pech, Afghanistan

4.4 x 1.4 x 1.1 cm.

A fine example of bi-colored Indicolite from Afghanistan that has been bent.  Every time I think that I've seen it all concerning Tourmaline from Afghanistan, I am surprised by something new. These Indicolite crystals were found in the summer of 2006.

(double-terminated)

Darre Pech, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan

2.2 x 1.3 x 1.2 cm.

This specimen is a good example of the diversity of Tourmalines that can be found in Afghanistan.  This bicolored Tourmaline crystal exhibits a cat's-eye like chatoyance and is double-terminated.

T-122  Tourmaline variety Elbaite  $100

Mogok, Sagaing District, Mandalay Division, Myanmar (Burma)

3.4 x 1.5 x 1.7 cm.

This Tourmaline is different than most of the Burmese specimens that are seen these days.  Most all of the Tourmalines from Burma are of the mushroom habit, this bi-colored Elbaite exhibits the classic Tourmaline form

T-080  Tourmaline variety Schorl  $65  SOLD

Darre Pech, Afghanistan

6 x 5.5 x 6.5 cm.

Here's another of one of those unusual specimens that my Afghani friend seems to always be coming across.  What at first appears to be just another chunky Schorl crystal features an unusual growth anomaly on it's termination, makining for a most unusual example of crystal growth.

T-081  Tourmaline variety Schorl  $70

Darre Pech, Afghanistan

8.8 x 4.3 x 2.8 cm.

This curved bundle of Scorl crystals is another one of those unusual mineral specimens that I “had” to buy, just because it was all bent and curved.  I hope you like this one as much as I do.

T-092  Tourmaline variety Elbaite  $75

Cruzeiro Mine, Santa Maria do Suaçui
Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil

5 x 1.2 x .7 cm.

This is a really good Tourmaline despite the way it looks in the photo.  The bottom portion is actually dark blue and the upper portion is blue-green and gemmier than it appears.

T-056  Tourmaline with Quartz & Albite  $45  Reserved

Darre Pech, Afghanistan

3.4 x 2.7 x 1.8 cm.

An attractive little specimen with a contrasting lighter green termination that combined with a jacket of Albite makes this a showy specimen worthy of anyone's Tourmaline collection.

T-058  Tourmaline var. Elbaite with Albite  $60  SOLD
(double terminated)

Paprok, Kunar Province, Afghanistan

4.5 x 1.7 x 1.6 cm.

This specimen is another example of the diversity of Tourmalines that can be found at Paprok.  This unusual double terminated green Tourmaline features a mottled body with one slightly lighter green termination.  Quite different than usual red & green crystals that are usally found at this location.
