T-120 Tourmaline
variety Elbaite $500
(double terminated)
Darre
Pech, Nangarhar Province, Afghanistan
6.1
x 3.2 x 2.7 cm
A
fine example of bi-colored Tourmaline from Afghanistan. Every
time I think that I've seen it all concerning Tourmaline from Afghanistan,
I am surprised by something new. I'm not sure if this is a really
dark Indicolite like the others I had acquired from this find or just
an Elbaite. This one has a greenish-blue cap, while the others
were more blue than green. This find was made during the summer
of 2006.

T-122 Tourmaline
variety Elbaite $100
Mogok,
Sagaing District, Mandalay Division, Myanmar (Burma)
3.4
x 1.5 x 1.7 cm.
This
Tourmaline is different than most of the Burmese specimens that are
seen these days. Most all of the Tourmalines from Burma
are of the “mushroom” habit,
this bi-colored Elbaite exhibits the classic Tourmaline form

T-080 Tourmaline
variety Schorl $65 SOLD
Darre
Pech, Afghanistan
6
x 5.5 x 6.5 cm.
Here's
another of one of those unusual specimens that my Afghani friend seems
to always be coming across. What at first appears to be just
another chunky Schorl crystal features an unusual growth anomaly on it's
termination, makining for a most unusual example of crystal growth.

T-081 Tourmaline
variety Schorl $70
Darre
Pech, Afghanistan
8.8
x 4.3 x 2.8 cm.
This
curved bundle of Scorl crystals is another one of those unusual mineral
specimens that I “had” to buy, just because it was all bent
and curved. I hope you like this one as much as I do.

T-092 Tourmaline
variety Elbaite $75
Cruzeiro
Mine, Santa Maria do Suaçui
Minas Gerais, Southeast Region, Brazil
5
x 1.2 x .7 cm.
This
is a really good Tourmaline despite the way it looks in the photo. The
bottom portion is actually dark blue and the upper portion is blue-green
and gemmier than it appears.
