G-070 Garnet variety Spessartine with Smoky Quartz $130 SOLD Lechang Mine, Guangdong Province, China 9.3 x 7.2 x 3.1 cm. These Spessartines are definitely in the upper echelon of Garnet specimens. For the past 8-9 years Chinese Garnets (especially the specimens from Fujian) have been quite abundant. But the really killer specimens have been too few and hard to come by. These gemmy Garnets have a luster that has to be seen in person to be fully appreciated. This specimen also features a 6 millimeter crystal of Pyrite embedded in the left center of the specimen. Another plus is the striking orange color, much like the famous Spessartines from the world famous Little 3 mine in Ramona, California.
